Yesterday Justice Heeney heard arguments from the lawyers at the first-degree murder trial of Michael Rafferty. 31-year-old Rafferty has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, sexual assault causing bodily harm and kidnapping.
Convicted killer Terri-Lynne McClintic is expected back on the stand today. When McClintic was on the stand Friday, she and the jury were shown portions of a video statement that was given to police on May 24th of 2009. In the statement, McClintic said it was Rafferty that killed 8 year old Tori. But, McClinitic stands by the testimony she gave last Tuesday where she told the jury it was her that killed Tori. No word on how long her testimony will go on before she is cross-examined by the defense.
McClintic is already serving a life sentence after pleading guilty two years ago to first-degree murder in Tori’s death.
