It’s the last official weekend of winter — with spring’s arrival next week — and it’s going to feel an awful lot like summer.
In fact, Waterloo Region set a temperature record Friday of 21.4 C at the Regional Airport. Records could continue to be broken until Wednesday.
While some are getting an early start on their golf game, others are already spending time on a patio and may even be thinking about finally changing up the snow tires.
According to 570’s Weather Specialist John Wilson, the forecast calls for temperatures ranging 19-22 C until Wednesday.
The temperature records are as follows:
* March 17 (Saturday) – record 16.5 C set in 2003
* March 18 (Sunday) – record 17 C set in 2010
* March 19 (Monday) – record 17.7 C set in 2010
* March 20 (Tuesday) – record 17.4 C set in 1995
* March 21 (Wednesday) – record 15.1 C set in 1979
Spring arrives on Tuesday at 1:14 a.m. EDT.
