Lotto ticket fraud charges

Two men from Guelph and a Brampton man have been charged after an incident involving a winning lottery ticket.

The OPP’s investigation revealed an employee at a lottery retail location in Brampton bought a Poker Lotto ticket at their work location.

That goes against the OLG’s “No Play at Work” policy.

The winning ticket was worth 100-thousand dollars. The OPP say someone else tried to then cash in the winning ticket.

The 3 men, 41 year old Vijayarani Rajagopalan and 45 year old Shanmugan Rajagopalan from Guelph and 49 year old Shanmugalingam Arumugam of Brampton are all charged with fraud over $5,000.
