Accused in Gehl trial going back and forth

One day after one of the accused in the Nadia Gehl murder trial said he had no knowledge of the crime before the fact and was not involved in the shooting, the tables have been turned.
On Tuesday, Nashat Qahwash told court in Hamilton he had nothing to do with the February 2009 shooting that left the 28-year-old Kitchener woman dead.
He claimed Dennis Zvolensky admitted to him he was behind the killing.
According to this morning’s Record, a lawyer for Zvolensky suggested it was actually Qahwash who pulled the trigger.
Delmar Doucette, who represents Zvolensky, challenged Qahwash’s contention of innocence, saying “You were just saving your own skin by giving false evidence against your lifetime friend, Dennis Zvolensky.”
Qahwash denied that claim.
Also on trial for first degree murder, is Gehl’s husband, Ron Cyr.
