I’m sorry, did I miss winter?

We have passed the midway mark of January and this has been anything but a normal winter for Waterloo Region.

An icy chill is in the air this morning, but not much in the way of snow and if winter is your least favourite season, you must be loving this one.

570 News weather specialist John Wilson says we may get around two centimetres of lake effect flurries this morning, but that’s about it.

Crunching the numbers, Wilson says snowfall totals are way down this winter.

He says so far in January, we only have about 10% of what we would normally get in January.

In December it was 38% and in November just 6%.

As for the temperature, we are 4-degrees above normal for daytime highs in January and it was a similar story in November and December.
