Personal Trainer Pet Peeves

You don’t have to go into a gym to notice that the number one resolution this year was to lose weight. All it takes is to drive by a gym parking lot and see for yourself.
Most people, however, won’t keep the resolution and that can make some personal trainers a little upset.
Dave McGinn, a writer with the Globe and Mail joined 570’s Gary Doyle Show after speaking with some personal trainers and gagged some of the things that annoy them. He says not cleaning up after yourself, being overly loud and saying that you’re tired all the time are among the pet peeves of gym trainers.
“I think trainers need to call their clients on bad behaviour more often, rather than just letting it stew, I think they just need to say, ‘can you please do this in the future’, rather than letting it get under their skin.”
McGinn goes on to say that he heard some pretty funny things as well as some disgusting things, such as people not wearing any underwear being a pet peeve.
“But the most common type of response was about a person’s commitment. ‘Don’t blame me if you’re not getting results because you’re lazy the rest of the time that you’re not seeing me.”
