HWY 6 South re-opened

A serious crash on Highway Six South has put a snag into morning traffic.
Police say the crash happened shortly after 6:00 a.m.right at the boundary line between Puslinch Township and the City of Hamilton. The road re-opened around 9:30 a.m.
OPP Sergeant Dave Woodford tells 570 News a Northbound Honda Civic swerved to avoid a deer carcass, lost control and struck a Southbound Toyota Corolla head-on, “there was one occupant in each of the vehicles. Both of them have been transported to hospital, both with injuries.”
Woodford said the Civic had to be cut open to get to the driver, who is in critical condition at Hamilton General Hospital. The driver of the Corolla has minor injuries and is also at Hamilton General.
Woodford reminds drivers to “be cautions, keep their heads up, and always be aware of what’s ahead of you.”
The road has since re-opened.
