Kitchener Rangers defenceman Ben Fanelli needs your help.
Head Strong, a program he started after suffering a serious head injury in October 2009, needs your votes to make it into the finals of the Aviva Community Fund challenge.
If Head Strong wins, $35,000 will go to the Brain Injury Association of Canada’s Bursary Fund.
That will assist brain injury survivors with costs associated with post-secondary education.
Head Strong was nominated by Zehr Insurance Brokers Limited of New Hamburg.
“So far we’ve had 13 hundred ideas submitted and two million votes cast.” said Julie Manske, Aviva Community Fund – Business Development Specialist.
That list is down to 90 ideas and that will be narrowed down to 30 by the judges who will pick the winner at the end of January.
Voting in this semi-final round ends Friday, December 16th at 12pm and Head Strong needs to remain in the top ten to make it into the finals.
