A soggy day is in the forecast for Waterloo Region and much of southern Ontario.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement calling for 30 to 40 millimetres or well over an inch of rain today.
Then, as the temperature drops off overnight, we could be dealing with wet snow tomorrow morning.
570 News Weather Specialist John Wilson says we could receive five centimetres or two inches of snow tomorrow.
Wilson’s 5-day forecast is as follows…
Today – rain, heavy at times with up to 40 mm (or 1 to 1.5 inches) by the time it’s all done. The guaranteed high for today is 6 degrees.
Overnight, the rain will start to change to wet snow by the morning and the low will be 2.
For Wednesday: wet snow in the morning may accumulate to 5 cm but quit after that. The temperature should be steady near 2.
On Thursday, look for a mix of clouds and sunny periods with a daytime high of 4.
As for Friday: mostly cloudy, a chance of wet flurries or rainshowers and a high of 3.
Saturday: partly to mostly sunny and a high of 4.
