Canucks third period comeback falls short in Anaheim

ANAHEIM, CA (NEWS1130) – Vancouver scored three times in the final period to make it close, but they lost 4-3 to the Ducks. Kevin Bieksa and Jannik Hansen with a pair, scored in the third for the Canucks.
Vancouver out shot the Ducks 22-2 in the third period. With Cory Schneider pulled and the Canucks on the power play, Ryan Kesler was robbed in the final minute by Jonas Hiller in the Anaheim goal.
Cory Schneider replaced Roberto Luongo in the third period.
The Ducks scored four times in the second period. Two of those goals game on the power play when Vancouver defenceman Aaron Rome was tossed from the game after he received a five-minute major penalty for elbowing Devante Smith-Pelly.
Wearing number 11, Saku Koivu scored the opening goal on 11/11/11.
After scoring his first goal for Vancouver in LA on Thursday, Andrew Ebbett found out on Friday he had fractured a bone in his foot. He did not play versus the Ducks. Alex Burrows played for the first time since suffering from back spasms in St. Louis a week ago.
The Canucks finished the road trip at 3-3 and host the NY Islanders on Sunday at Rogers Arena.
