Bleams Road has re-opened between Strasburg and Fisher Hallman Road after reports of suspicious package in the area.
The road had been closed as a precaution after a passerby spotted a box with the radioactive logo.
Sergeant Dave Reibel told 570 news, Regional Police responded around 7:25 this morning. “What we found was a radioactive device that is used for monitoring and x-raying wells. There was no danger to the public. The item has been retrieved by the company,” he says.
Reibel said the schools in the area were also put into lock down as a precaution and the Waterloo Region District School School has since confirmed that the lock downs have ended.
