VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Sidney Crosby could be back in the game by next Friday, and now Macleans magazine takes a look at the treatment that helped in “rebuilding Sidney Crosby’s brain,” which is the name of the new cover story.
Crosby has been out since a headshot back in January and what’s helped him is something called chiropractic neurology. Canadian-born Ted Carrick is the man behind the science.
“We had a different type of approach where we looked at the physicality and we did specific measurements that allowed us to make a really good diagnostic impression in Sid’s brain,” Carrick said during a news conference before the NHL season started.
He’s been treating Crosby at his lab at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Macleans is taking an inside look at some of the chiropractor’s treatments, including a computerized rotating chair, just one of three in the world, called a whole body gyroscope.
The wait for treatment with Carrick is three years long.
