Northfield re-opened after crash

A crash this morning at 8:50 on Northfield Drive East at Scotch Line in Conestogo, has sent two people to hospital.
Sergeant Frank Heinrich tells 570 News the northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and was then hit by a southbound vehicle, “one occupant in both vehicles, both have been transported to local hospitals.”
The crash resulted in glass, oil and busted car parts spread all around the vehicles involved on the road and in the ditch. Both vehicles are inoperable and had to be towed away.
The northbound driver has major injuries and the southbound driver has minor injuries. One person sent to Grand River Hospital, the other is in Hamilton.
The road has since re-opened
