Canucks new look second line debuts tonight

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks visit Edmonton tonight for the second of six regular season meetings. This game is the debut of recently-acquired winger David Booth who will skate on the second line with Ryan Kesler and Chris Higgins.
Booth is trying to shake off a rough start to his season, managing to register just one assist in six games with the Florida Panthers before his trade to the Canucks this past weekend. The Detroit is excited to play in a Canadian market, after growing up watching Hockey Night in Canada.
The young Edmonton trio of Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle have combined for 17 points. Nugent-Hopkins, of New Westminster, recorded his first career hat-trick in the Oilers’ 4-3 loss to the Canucks back on October 15th.
Roberto Luongo will start in goal against Nikolai Khabibulin. Khabibulin leads the league with a 0.72 goals-against-average. The Canucks have won nine of the last 12 meetings against the Oilers and Luongo has won seven of his last nine against Edmonton.
The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. and can be seen on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific.
