The leaders of both the provincial Liberals and Progressive Conservatives were in Waterloo Region Monday.
Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty spoke to a crowd of hundreds at a campaign rally at Hubertushaus in Mannheim.
He talked about Ontario’s accomplishments and said the province has a good foundation on which to build. “We’re going to keep building a strong workforce,” McGuinty said. “And that starts at the beginning with full day kindergarten for all our four and five year olds.”
McGuinty also helped open Oktoberfest celebrations at the venue, tapping a keg and indulging in a beer.
Earlier in the day, PC leader Tim Hudak was at Rapid Gear in Kitchener where he shook hands and spoke to supporters. “Time to end the eight years of tax hikes, hydro spikes and all the lost jobs,” Hudak told them.
He then took a quick tour of the plant before heading off for another event in Brampton.
