Laurier’s election projections

A Wilfrid Laurier University political studies institute, renowned for its election seat projections, is out with an updated one in advance of Thursday’s provincial election.
The Laurier Institute for the Study of Public Opinion and Policy, or LISPOP, takes into account several recent public opinion polls, including those from Environics, Nanos, Leger and Angus Reid as well as other variables to tabulate the projections.
As it stands now, LISPOP is projecting the Liberals to win 47 seats, the Conservatives 39 and the NDP 21.
It stresses however this is not a prediction and the reliability is only as good as the polls upon which it is based.
The institute also expects another poll from LISPOP, so an updated seat projection is possible.
