The annual “Doors Open-Waterloo Region” event is taking place this weekend.
It’s the 9th time the event is being held in Waterloo Region and this year 38 sites, many of which not regularly open to the public are participating.
Co-coordinator Karl Kessler says they had very humble beginnings but its grown every year.
After more than 10-thousand individual visits in last year’s event, the doors will be open once again in Waterloo Region this weekend.
“Door open-Waterloo Region” is a free heritage and architecture open house event and organizers say its for the whole family.
You can pick up a map and guide at libraries and Regional museums.
