Nearly 20 companies and three post-secondary institutions will be on hand for Communitech’s latest job recruiting event today.
The University of Guelph’s Office of Open Learning, Conestoga College’s Continuing Education program and the University of Waterloo’s Graduate Studies Office will all be there.
Communitech’s Senior Director of Talent Networks, Karen Gallant says, “As candidates look for new roles they may discover that they want to do a little bit of upgrading…and so this will give them the opportunity to investigate a variety of options that are available to them.”
The event runs this evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Waterloo Inn.
The Hiring companies participating include: Aeryon Labs; Avvasi; Conceptual Pathways Inc.; Coreworx; Enflick; Electronic Arts; Equitable Life; eSentire; Fibernetics; karosHealth; Kik Interactive; Miovision Technologies; PerkinElmer; Procom; Sandvine; Skybound and Unitron Hearing.
Gallant says they’re looking to fill a variety of technical and business positions. There are currently about 1,000 job openings in Waterloo Region’s tech sector.
