The official opening of the 153rd Paris Fair is tonight.
The midway and over 12,000 exhibits will be on display until Monday.
General Manager Russell Press tells 570 News what’s on for tonight, “the youngsters can come out tonight, see some demolition derby, Justin Bieber and Hanna Montana tribute artists and dance the night away with Party-Rockers, it’s a full night tonight”.
Also on the agenda, the Calgary Stampede will be declared the grand marshal of the fair for the next 5 days, in tribute of their 100th Anniversary next year.
Coming up Sunday, the Canadian Country Music Awards which will be putting on a concert with headliners Victoria Banks and Gord Bamford.
The midway is spread out over the 117 acres of fairgrounds, including two huge Ferris wheels, Press says “it’s wonderful to see at night”.
