9AM Nycole Turmel is the stand-in leader of the Federal NDP Party while Jack Layton is away fighting cancer. Critics say Turmel was the wrong choice because of her ties to the Bloc Quebecois and Quebec Solidaire, a group of communists, separatists, and feminists. Do these details matter? 9:30AM Kitchener’s Southwest region is the fastest growing area in the city, but much needed recreation facilities wont be built for at least 10 years because councillors have delayed funding for the project.
