UW bench boss bound for Mentorship Cup

Brian Bourque will be spending his weekend with some NHL stars.
The head coach of the men’s hockey team at the University of Waterloo has been selected as an assistant coach for Saturday’s Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Cup in Mississauga.
The event, in conjunction with the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), brings together 42 of Canada’s top bantam-aged players and gives them an exclusive opportunity to learn from NHL players. Fitness, nutrition, and mental condition are just some of the areas covered during the five-day camp leading up to Saturday’s final.
““I am looking forward to the opportunity,” Bourque says in a release. “There are a lot of excellent people involved in the program and I know it will be a great experience for these young players.”
NHL stars such as Gary Roberts, Luke Schenn, Jeff Skinner and Jason Spezza have taken part in the camp and Bourque will serve as an assistant coach on Team Spezza for the Mentorship Cup.
The game will be played at the Hershey Centre at 2 PM Saturday.
