The cup lands in Guelph

Guelph residents got a close up of one of the most cherished trophies in sports today.

Rich Peverley of the Boston Bruins brought the Stanley Cup to the Sleeman Centre.

The Guelph native tells 570 News it’s important to pay back the people that helped him on his way to the NHL by just enjoying the cup with his family.

Peverley spent several hours at the Sleeman Centre signing autographs and speaking to a crowd of close to a thousand people.
