Suspect in Bourdeau murder in court

Another court appearance today for the suspect in the murder
of Waterloo’s Denise Bourdeau.

48-year-old David Robert Thomas was charged with second degree murder last Thursday.

He will appear in court via video.

A publication ban has been placed on evidence in the case.

Bourdeau, was last seen on January 1, 2007 at a Waterloo restaurant during a New Year’s Eve celebration when she was 39-years-old.

Her body was discovered over three months later along the banks of the Grand River near Conestoga College.

Police say the accused and the victim were at one time involved in a common-law relationship.
