Arrest in Bourdeau murder

Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in the Denise Bourdeau murder.

They say 48-year-old David Robert Thomas has been charged with second degree murder.

Thomas appeared in a Kitchener court today and was remanded until Monday.

Bourdeau, was last seen on January 1, 2007 at a Waterloo restaurant during a New Year’s Eve celebration when she was 39-years-old.

Her body was discovered over three months later along the banks of the Grand River near Conestoga College.

Police say the accused and the victim were at one time involved in a common-law relationship.
