The Region of Waterloo is no longer charging the residential fee for electronic waste recycling.
The fee was dropped at the beginning of this month.
That includes computers, monitors and stereos to name a few.
E-waste brought to the Cambridge or Waterloo transfer stations will now only be subject to the regular transfer station fee: Seventy-Two Dollars per tonne, with no charge for the first 50 Kilograms.
The commercial e-waste rate remains unchanged.
