Waterloo Regional Police Budget

Five months into the year, and the Waterloo Regional Police Service is over budget.
The good news is that it’s not much, only by 1%.
The Chair of Police Services Board, Tom Galloway tells 570 News, it’s not something to worry about. They are right around where they were the past couple of years.
He says that certain expenses that occur at the beginning of the year, like overtime, don’t happen as often in the later part of the year. He also says if expenses like that are expected to fall off over the next seven months, it’s a lot of money and everything will fall back into line.
