Touring new Conestoga College wing

Bob Chiarelli, Minister of Infrastructure joined by John Milloy, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities toured a new wing of Conestoga College’s Doon Campus today.
The “F’ Wing is set to open this fall to house the School of Health and Life Sciences.
Chiarelli was impressed and said, “it’s obviously very state of the art so that the graduates here can walk out and, on day one, know what they’re doing in the professional world”.
Chiarelli congratulated Conestoga College for being on the cutting edge, “it makes a tremendous difference in the province in keeping up economically strong and providing the type of education that people need,” he said.
Dr. John Tibbits, President of Conestoga College said there will be a new hires to help staff the new wing, “we’re bringing on about 40 new employees full-time, approximately. In the new building you need maintenance people, receivers, with new academic programming we need faculty and additional administrative staff”.
