It’s Canada Day which means fireworks, fireworks and even more fireworks.
There are scores of aerial light shows planned in the area.
Canada Day festivities run all day at the University of Waterloo’s Columbia Lake fields starting at two this afternoon and wrapping up with fireworks tonight.
In Cambridge, Riverside Park is the place to be for all kinds of activities starting at 8 a.m. and ending with fireworks tonight.
Among the highlights in that city is the country’s biggest Canada Day parade starting at one at King and Bishop and running along King to the park.
There will be fireworks tonight as well at Bingemans in Kitchener, Scott Park in New Hamburg, Riverside Park in Guelph, the Centre Wellington Sportsplex in Fergus and Southside Park in Woodstock.
