A Kitchener man faces numerous charges following a raid on a city residence.

The Regional Police Strategic and Tactical Services branch executed a search warrant on Balfour Crescent yesterday and arrested a 39-year-old man.

Charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking in crystal meth, possession for the purpose of trafficking in ecstasy and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police say during the raid they seized roughly $40,000 in drugs in addition to a significant amount of cash.
