Waterloo’s OpenText in Boston

A local high-tech company is in Boston this afternoon.  

Waterloo’s OpenText has unveiled it’s next major release, ‘OpenText Social Workplace’ at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference.  

Lubor Ptacek is the VP of Product Marketing. He says a lot of organizations want employees to take part in social media, but worry about sensitive information being leaked.

He says OpenText allows for the use of social media, on top of the their infrastructure, that is highly secure and used by many countries around the world.

Ptacek says they have about 50-thousand world-wide, including high-profile clients like the Ontario Government, The Globe and Mail and RIM.
