Ride for Dad

The annual Grand River Motorcycle Ride for Dad came back to Waterloo Region today.

Participants rode to raise awareness about prostate cancer and raise funds for research at Grand River Hospital.

Statistics show one in seven men across Canada may get prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Previous events in Kitchener have collected well over half a million dollars.

The event was expected to have a turnout of about 1,200 motorcycle enthusiasts.

They were scheduled to ride for about 170 kilometres through Waterloo Region.
