Long weekend blitz results

The OPP has released the tally from the victoria day long weekend blitz.

Police laying more than 63-hundred charges against drivers, down slightly from the usual average of 7-thousand.

More than 53-hundred of those were for speeding, but 16-hundred people were charged with distracted driving, and 128 motorists face alcohol-related offences.

The OPP say six people were killed over the long weekend –4 on the roads, plus there one fatal boating accident and an a.t.v fatality.
