What to drink this long weekend?

If you’re entertaining this weekend there are a wide range of drink choices and Michael Fagan with the LCBO has some tips on how to please your guests.
He says it’s all about flavour in the cocktail department and many are using fresh fruit in their mixed drinks. But if you’re not the world’s best bartender, Fagan says, “Don’t forget about the ready to drink or the cooler category which makes it so much easier for you…”
When it comes to beer, Fagan says you should try being adventurous. He says, “We’re discovering that there’s great beers from around the world…and people are discovering the flavours.”
He also says Ontario craft beers have become quite popular.
If you’re a wine drinker but not necessarily an expert, Fagan says forget the rules and just trust your taste buds. He also adds that rose wines are popular right now and says, “People are really starting to understand that these rose wines are more than just something pink and sweet.”
He adds that not everyone drinks alcohol but you can still please those guests with mocktails. For recipes, click here.
