Drug bust in Guelph

Guelph Police conducted what might be called their easiest drug arrest ever.

Around 5:45 p.m. yesterday, Guelph police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a disturbance at a house that is divided up into smaller apartments.

When police arrived they found a $69-thousand-dollars marijuana grow-op out in plain view in the apartment.

They also found at least one resident in a highly intoxicated state.

A 45-year old male, and a 43-year old female, both from Guelph, were arrested and charged with production of a controlled substance, and possession for the purpose of distribution.

Police seized 23 mature marijuana plants, and 20 starter plants.
