Some 1,800 people are in Stratford starting today for one of Canada’s largest digital media forums.
Canada 3.0 begins today and runs through Wednesday.
The forum is aimed at advancing Canada’s place in the global digital economy.
The annual event has been organized by the Canadian Digital Media Network, which is based out of The Communitech Hub in Kitchener.
Network Managing Director Kevin Tuer tells 570 News dozens of speakers are lined up, including the Vice-President Business and Legal Affairs for the Oprah Winfrey Network, Alan Saxe.
Tuer says the goal remains “the ‘Moonshot’ for Canada – that anyone can do anything online in Canada by 2017.”
He says there is also a focus on how digital technology can help us improve our national productivity.
