Royal Parking Tickets

It was a royal pain for a couple dozen royal fans who came out to watch the royal wedding at the Duke of Wellington pub in Waterloo: they all got parking tickets.
A by-law enforcement officer was spotted by 570 News at about 4:45 a.m. today handing out tickets to all the cars parked in the city lot behind the Erb Street pub.
But, the city has had a change of heart and ripped up all eight tickets.
This after Pub owner, Desi Fatkin, gathered up all the $35 tickets from every patron who received one and took them to City Hall to complain to the mayor.
Parking is not allowed in city lots between 2:30 and 6:00 a.m.
Fatkin says she spoke to the bylaw officer directly, explaining the cars were in the lot for the royal wedding broadcast, but she was told by the officer he had no choice but to issue the tickets.
Fatkin is annoyed because she went out of their way to open the pub so early in the morning to host this event for local British descendants, and those people got penalized for coming out.
