RIM shares plunge

Shares of Research In Motion have taken a plunge.

This is after a scathing report from Wall Street analysts following the BlackBerry-maker’s announcement that it expected a drop in profits.

RIM said sales of its smartphones are expected to come in at the low end of its previous forecast of between 13.5 million and 14.5 million units.

Stock in the company has dropped more than 13 per cent.
