Funeral for former local Fire Captain

Former Kitchener Fire Captain Bill Duncan will be laid to rest today.
His funeral will be held this afternoon at 4 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener.
There will be a number of road closures:
Sherwood Avenue will be closed between Rosemount Drive and
Krug Street from 1 to 3:30 p.m. to allow marchers to form up.
Frederick Street between Edna Street and River Road will be closed to traffic for the ceremonial march from approximately 3 to 3:45 p.m.
Frederick Street between Bruce Street and Edna Street will be closed for the Honour Guard and motorcade from approximately 4:45 to 5:15 p.m.
There will be short-term traffic disruptions as Waterloo Regional Police close intersections temporarily to allow the motorcade to proceed from the Walser funeral home to the Williamsburg cemetery on Fisher-Hallman Road.
