Public consultation for B-Line route future tonight

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Will it be light rail, or look more like SkyTrain? In the end, they could just add more buses. B-Line riders can get a good look at plans to beef up service to UBC tonight.

Seven possibilities have been drawn up for the future between Commercial Drive and UBC. They’re all explained on the TransLink website.

Details cover everything from routes to station locations. Project costs range big-time — from $325 million to $3.2 billion. Travel times vary from half an hour door-to-door by bus to 20 minutes by rail.

UBC’s Ponderosa Centre hosts a public consultation tonight.
