Anyone up for a chocolate…bugs?

It’s a ‘Chocolate Lovers’ dream. The 10th annual BugFeast kicks off Saturday and this year’s theme will please your sweet tooth.

The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is cooking up chocolate covered crickets, roasted meal-worm brownies and a rhinoceros beetle chocolate bar.

Adrienne Brewster, Executive Director, says it’s definitely a culinary experience for the whole family.

Brewster says bugs are higher in protein and lower in fat than other proteins like beef and chicken.

This is an annual event that has been running for the past ten years. ‘Chef Jeff’ (Stewart) has been cooking for BugFeast since it’s inception.

The event starts today and runs until next Sunday, March 20th.

Children ages 2 and under get in for free.

Adults $10.95

Seniors & Youth $9.75

Admission tickets are subject to 13% HST.
