Cambridge City Council is poised to pass its 2011 budget tonight, but councillors could be in for a rough ride.
Protesters – perhaps several hundred of them – are expected to descend on City Hall tonight to protest what they claim is wasteful spending.
Their main target is the planned new Drayton Theatre complex.
