Students are putting their minds together and our trying to think of the best possible way to showcase their technological skills to get first place.
Over 700 local elementary school students are participating in the Annual Technological Skills Competition taking place today and tomorrow at Conestoga College Recreation Centre.
A consultant with the Waterloo Region District School Board, Erica Fleming-Gillespie says it’s a variety of challenges related to the skills trades.
Students in grades 4 through 6 as well as 7 and 8, work in teams of four.
The challenges allow students to apply their knowledge of math science and technology in a fun way.
