Family Day Closures

It’s Family Day in Ontario meaning a mixed bag when it comes to closures and service disruptions.
Most of our local city halls are closed, but some recreational services are available providing a broad range of activities including swimming and skating.
Your shopping options are limited today with Fairview Park, Conestoga and Cambridge Centre Malls all closed and it’s the same story for LCBO and Beer Store outlets.
There is Grand River Transit, but it’s operating on a Sunday schedule for many routes.
Garbage, blue box and green bin service is operating as usual.
Locations around the Region where family-oriented activities are planned today, in addition to the skating and swimming, include THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener, Joseph Schneider Haus, the Homer Watson House and Gallery, the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, Woodside National Historic Site and the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory.
