The Guelph Police Service has named a new deputy chief – and they’ve dipped into the upper ranks of the Waterloo Regional Police Service to fill the position.
The Guelph Mercury reports Regional Police Superintendent Bryan Larkin will assume his new post in Guelph on April 1st, replacing the retiring Brent Eden.
Larkin has been with Waterloo Regional Police since 1991, but has deep roots in Guelph.
He’s lived there since 1992 and graduated with a degree in justice studies from the University of Guelph.
His wife is a Guelph native and his son attends the University of Guelph.
