EXCLUSIVE: PM on Egypt

From his thoughts on former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, to Canada’s role moving forward, in an exclusive interview with 570 News, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is speaking about the crisis in Egypt.
He’s faced much criticism for being too quiet on the topic, but now he’s opened up with 570’s Parliament Hill reporter Cormac Mac Sweeney.
He told Cormac everyone is excited with the transition we’ve seen so far and Canada will team up with allies to help Egypt move towards democracy.
Harper is also critical of Mubarak, saying this dictatorship obviously went on too long. Although, until now, the prime minister has been hesitant to even comment on Mubarak’s actions.
The prime minister does warn there are a lot of unknowns in this tense situation and it’s still not clear what the outcome of this revolution will be.
