Another parent complaint

A storm cloud hovering over a Kitchener school just won’t go away.

Queen Elizabeth Public School has been at the centre of controversy after a 9-year-old boy with special needs was left behind at a park after a class skating trip.

The board later said it had disciplined the teacher, but was no going to fire her.

Now comes word a second parent is raising concerns about how her child – also special needs – is being treated at the school.

Nicole O’Dell tells CTV “It’s horrible when your child comes home scared and afraid.”

The school board says it is looking into the case, but adds there have been no previous complaints against that teacher.

The father of the boy that sparked the initial controversy, meantime, is still working to get his son back into the classroom, but he wants a different teacher.
