The Nadia Gehl murder trial is expected to start in January of next year.
However, The Record is reporting the start date depends on whether one of the accused, Ron Cyr, finds a new lawyer.
Cyr, Gehl’s husband, told a judge that he fired his Toronto lawyer and is now looking for a new one.
Cyr is one of three men accused in Gehl’s shooting death in February of 2009.
Over the next few months, a judge is expected to deal with several pre-trial motions, including a request for a publication ban.
