Day meets with business leaders

Stockwell Day was in town today to speak with local businesses about how the government can help them create jobs and compete on the global stage.

The Treasury Board President and Minister of the Asia-Pacific Gateway held a roundtable at Communitech.

Day says he’s meeting with local business and academic leaders to find out what they can do to enhance their ability to grow.

He says Canada has the strongest financial centre and institutions in the world. He says businesses recognize that, but are concerned because the global recovery is fragile.
