A disturbing situation for Regional Police in Cambridge from the weekend.
On the evening of January 8th around 10:39, Waterloo Regional Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a home in Cambridge to check on the well being of a 43 year old female.
While at the scene, officers found the dismembered remains of a small dog.
Upon further investigation police uncovered evidence that the female had been consuming the dog.
Police are working closely with medical officials and the Cambridge and District Humane Society while Divisional Detectives work to determine if charges relating to injuring or endangering an animal will be laid.
