A warning from Regional Police to be cautious when it comes to dealing with people offering to do work around your home.
This, after police received a complaint from a Kitchener resident who was approached by two males offering to fix a chimney but only if they were paid in cash.
Police say there was nothing wrong with the chimney and when they were told the police had been called they took off without leaving any personal or company information.
The pair were in a white hatchback SUV type vehicle with a ladder sticking out the back.
